Oddballs Palm Island Lodge, a more basic tented camp, Oddballs camp as one of the few Botswana camps that offers visitors a unique Okavango Delta Experience - in the heart of Botswana. This camp is only accessible by light aircraft 20 minutes away from Maun, so guest can enjoy a bird's eye-view of the Delta before reaching their overnight destination.
Deep in the Okavango Delta nestled on the edge of Chief's Island is Oddballs - and yes the name says it all!! Allegedly named after Oddball; a man who lived up to his name! Oddball's is a legend amongst travellers to Botswana. Only accessible by light aircraft, Oddballs camp offers the visitor an incredible experience of the wonders of the Delta.

What sets Oddball's apart from other safari lodges is the setting, the informality and above all the legendary bar, where you will be regaled with adventure stories which are surely amongst the 'tallest' in Africa!
Accommodation is in 2m x 2m dome tents on elevated wooden decks, shaded by reed shelters. Each tent is equipped with mattresses, linen, pillows and towels. A maximum of forty people can be accommodated.

Day 1 Oddballs :Arrive at Maun Airport where you will be met at the airport for the +-25 minute light aircraft flight over the Okavango Delta to Oddballs Camp. This flight is an experience in itself, affording superb aerial views of the Delta and its wildlife.
At Oddballs you will be accommodated in a 2m x 2m domed tent set on a raised wooden platform with mattresses, pillows, towels and all linen provided, please bring your own sleeping bags for your camping trip.

After lunch - You will go out with your Guide for a mokoro excursion and game walk. Dinner that evening is taken in the dining area overlooking the Boro River and Chief's Island, to the accompaniment of the sounds of the African nightlife.

Mokoro Oddballs
Day 2 & 3 Oddballs :You will collect all your camping equipment and provisions from the store and accompanied by your Guide will set out on the Mokoro Trail. Your Guide will find a suitable camping spot in the 'bush' close to the water, and assist you to set up camp. Whilst on the Mokoro Trail your food is provided, but you will be responsible for its preparation.

Day 4 Oddballs : Another early morning excursion, then pack up camp and return to Oddballs, and a hot shower and well deserved sundowner before a deliciously prepared dinner. You may also be interested in visiting the nearby village. Your Guide will be proud to show you his home and introduce you to his Family, a unique experience, especially if this is your first visit to Africa. It would be advisable to let your Guide know that you would like to visit the village before hand so that he can allocate time for this.

Day 5 Oddballs : Depending on the time of your flight, an early morning mokoro excursion and breakfast before your short light aircraft flight into Maun.
